Participants      The following individuals made important contributions      to the rebuilding of the Ivory Sands House. Lisa Witham, chief resident, was in charge of gardening and domestic oversight. John Sheridan (1926 - 1993), bricklayer, was the tradesman responsible for much of the carpentry and masonry through most of the renovation. John was one of those men about whom one says, "He eats nails for breakfast" and "You can count on him through thick and thin." He had the very endearing habit of telling the truth without embellishment. His work was uncompromising. He was —and his wife Patricia is— an avid Country & Western fan. He is appropriately memorialized in stone at the entrance of the house. Billy Wick, mechanic, did rigging, machine work, and engine repair. Eddy "Sully" Sullivan, electrician and merchant mariner, did the early wiring. Jimmy Mikulka, carpenter, worked on the house for the first couple of years. Paul Richard, builder, contributed, doing much of the work on the garage. Genghis Lapointe, assistant floorsweeper, did all the painting.
